'Awesome God' Live Performance At The Tower Of David

Check out this live performance of the song ‘Awesome God’ at the Tower of David in Jerusalem.

“When He rolls up His sleeves, He ain't just putting on the ritz (Our God is an awesome God)
There's thunder in His footsteps and lightning in His fists (Our God is an awesome God)
And the Lord wasn't joking when He kicked 'em out of Eden"

This video is from 2005 of Gaither Voices Mark Lowry, Marshall Hall, and Jessy Dixon performing the worship song ‘Awesome God.’ The whole group sounds wonderful together, and it is powerful to hear all of the voices together proclaiming the goodness of God.

"It wasn't for no reason that He shed His blood, His return is very close
And so you better be believing that our God is an awesome God
Our God is an awesome God, He reigns from heaven above
With wisdom, power, and love, our God is an awesome God”

The song ‘Awesome God’ was written in 1988 by Rich Mullins. It was his first single from the album Winds of Heaven, Stuff of Earth. It quickly became a popular congregational song, and soon it became Rich Mullin’s signature song. Yet, he has shared that he does not think the song is his best work.

“You know, the thing I like about Awesome God is that it's one of the worst-written songs that I ever wrote; it's just poorly crafted,” Rich said. “But the thing is that sometimes, I think, that when you become too conscientious about being a songwriter, the message becomes a vehicle for the medium. This is a temptation that I think all songwriters have. I think a great songwriter is someone who is able to take a very meaningful piece of wisdom - or of folly or whatever - and say it in a way that is most likely to make people respond. But, what you want them to respond to is not how cleverly you did that; what you want them to respond to is your message.”

‘Awesome God’ is a song that has remained impactful to the Church, and we hope that you enjoyed listening to it in this video today!

'This Is The Kingdom' Elevation Worship Featuring Pat Barrett

Check out this powerful music video of the song ‘This Is The Kingdom’ by Elevation Worship featuring Pat Barrett.

“Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted
Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness"

This amazing worship song is the third single that Elevation Worship has released from their upcoming new album titled Lion. The whole album will be released on March 4th. The writers of ‘This Is The Kingdom’ include Steven Furtick, Pat Barrett, Jason Ingram, and Chris Brown.

In ‘This Is The Kingdom,’ worship leader Pat Barrett starts off with singing scripture from Matthew 5. And this, plus free-flowing and spontaneous worship, is what fills this incredible song.

"They will be filled, they will be filled, this is the kingdom, this is the kingdom
This is the kingdom of heaven, ask and He will, ask and He will
This is the kingdom, this is the kingdom, this is the kingdom of heaven”

Chris Brown of Elevation Worship shares his thoughts about the song. “Pat carries this song so personally that it’s hands down one of my favorite tracks on the album,” he says. “It was a beautiful moment the night of the recording and I’m happy that everyone gets to experience all 14 powerful minutes.”

Many people online also shared their thoughts about the new song.

“This is so powerful!” one person writes after watching the music video. “I love how you can sing something a thousand times and it doesn't get boring because it is straight scripture, breathed by God!”

“Wow! This one is wonderful! Amazing what happens when we simply breathe scripture! Great job, Elevation!” comments another person.

We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘This Is The Kingdom’ by Elevation Worship and it was able to bring you some encouragement today!

'Heaven Helped Me' Zach Williams Live At The Grand Ole Opry

Contemporary Christian artist Zach Williams visits the Grand Ole Opry for a special performance of ‘Heaven Help Me.’

These inspiring words remind us that there is no obstacle too big for us to overcome when God is by our side.

“When I can't find the words
When I can barely breathe
I'm falling on my knees
Heaven help me, Heaven help me”

Zach Williams rose to fame with his worship anthem, ‘Chainbreaker.’ After years as a heavy rocker and drug addiction, Zach found his way to God. From that moment on, he started to use his gift of music to give praise to the Lord’s Name.

Today, he is at the Grand Ole Opry for a powerful performance of his single, ‘Heaven Help Me.’ Just listen as he belts out these lyrics that call on our Father in Heaven.

“Help me, help me, 'Cause I can't walk this road alone
And I can't do this on my own
Tell me, tell me, I just need to hear You say
That everything will be okay”

Zach shared the heart behind the song with CCM Magazine. “I think it’s important for us to put ourselves in a place where we can surrender everything in our lives to Him and know that He’s got it.”

Even in the midst of life’s challenges, we can find peace and help when we turn to God and hand Him our burdens. He will give us strength and comfort for the rest of our days.

Philippians 4:7 “And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

'Freedom Is Coming' Acoustic Performance From Hillsong Young And Free

Check out this acoustic performance from Hillsong Young And Free of their song ‘Freedom Is Coming.’

“There is a promised land waiting for me, sometimes there’s an ocean
That lies in between, I’ll keep on traveling the path where You’ve been
‘Til I’m right where You want me, that’s where I will be
Freedom is coming and it has a name, oh no room for my chains, oh You take them away”

What a hopeful and joyful song! It is filled with the message of Christ and the reminder of the freedom that is found in him.

In this music video for ‘Freedom Is Coming,’ the musicians are singing and playing their instruments around each other in a living room. They all sound so wonderful together, and the song has such a great hybrid gospel sound.

The words and music for ‘Freedom Is Coming’ are by Ben Fielding, Mi-kaisha Masella, and Ben Tan. And the song is part of the album called 'Out Here On A Friday Where It Began'.

This album from Hillsong Young And Free has seven new songs on it declaring the name of Jesus. The group says that they want the music to make a statement that says “the church is alive and we're here. We couldn't be more excited for the future."

The group also shared that their greatest hope and prayer for the new album is that the songs would “bring people closer to Jesus and compel those that don’t know him to start the journey of discovering who He is.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘Freedom Is Coming’ by Hillsong Young And Free today!

Galatians 5:13-14 You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”

The Gaither Vocal Band is a popular all-male southern ensemble. This group has been sharing their gospel music for decades. The band name comes from the founder and leader, Bill Gaither, who has written countless hymns and worship favorites.

Since 1981, this group has performed hundreds of beloved worship tunes and beautiful original songs all over the world. Psalms 29:11 “The LORD will give strength to his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace.”

'Build My Life' Violin Cover Of Housefires Worship Song

Listen to this beautiful violin cover of the Housefires worship song called ‘Build My Life.’

“Worthy, worthy of every song we could ever sing, worthy of all the praise we could ever bring
Worthy of every breath we could ever breathe, we live for you, oh, we live for you, Jesus
Holy, there is no one like you, there is none besides you, open up my eyes in wonder
And show me who you are and fill me with your heart and lead me
In your love to those around me”

In the video, Daniel Jang is the talented musician who is playing his violin and piano and arranging the music for the cover of ‘Build My Life.’ He does a wonderful job, and listening to him play is so peaceful. Many people online thought the same.

“Thank you, Daniel Jang, for the cover! It is so refreshing to my soul. Glory to God in the highest! God bless you,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the video.

“One of my favorite worship songs. Amazing as always, Daniel. God bless you,” writes another person online.

‘Build My Life’ is a great worship song that reminds us that God’s plan for us is what we should seek and not try to have control of everything. When he put our hope and trust in Him and His ways, our lives become so much better.

Pat Barrett, the writer of the song, shared the story behind ‘Build My Life’ and what the song means to him.

“‘Build my life’ is one of those songs for me personally, that has carried me through so many years of change and uncertainty. And if I’ve learned anything from being a father of three kids and Megan and I just celebrating nine years, it’s that life rarely behaves with our plans and it’s usually in the uncertainty and the not knowing and the trials that reveals what we’ve been standing on and what we put our trust in,” Pat shares.

He continues: “Jesus talks about it in Luke chapter 6 and says it’s like a man who dug a hole and built his house on the rock when the storm came, and the house withstood the storm. This really is a reminder for us that we can build our life on anything. We have the freedom to build our life on whatever we want. And the invitation of Jesus is to build our lives on things that last.”

We hope that you enjoyed this wonderful violin cover of the worship song ‘Build My Life.’

'How Great Thou Art' Southern Raised Bluegrass Band

Praise the Lord as Southern Raised Bluegrass perform the beloved hymn ‘How Great Thou Art.’

This classic hymn was originally written in 1885 by Swedish evangelist, Rev. Carl Boberg. He is credited with setting the words to a Swedish folk melody.

The hymn then became translated to German, to Russian, and then into English by English missionary Stuart Hine. He was inspired while working in Ukraine and hearing a congregation sing the song in Russian.

However, ‘How Great Thou Art' did not gain worldwide popularity until George Beverly Shea performed it on a Billy Graham crusade in 1957.

Now the iconic words are performed in churches all across the globe.

""O Lord, my God, when I in awesome wonder
Consider all the worlds Thy Hands have made
I see the stars, I hear the rolling thunder
Thy power throughout the universe displayed”

Siblings Lindsay, Emily and Matt plus their friend Alex, make up the Southern Raised Bluegrass band. The group was raised in the Ozark Mountains and they have blended their traditional music upbringing with multiple genres and their deep-rooted faith. For years, they’ve entertained us with popular covers of songs such as ‘What A Day That Will Be’ and ‘Shenandoah.’

The group describes themselves as creating a ‘Southern Raised trademark sound where classical meets bluegrass and city streets meets country roads. SR has morphed a progressive sound that spans Christian Country/ Bluegrass, Celtic and Classical.’

Today, they are worshiping the Lord with the iconic words of ‘How Great Thou Art.’

“Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God, to Thee
How great Thou art, how great Thou art"

1 John 5:13 “These things have I written to you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

Praising God

Lyrics:
Hallelujah to the highest name
Yeah time is coming
Which side are you on
Are you going up or are you going down
Praising God to his highest name
Praising God I am not ashamed
Praising God to his highest name
Fighting off evil spirits with the armor of God
Beating back those hellish flames
Will not sell my soul for riches or fame
Unclean spirits get out of God’s temple
Which is my body I said no its that simple
Praising God to his highest name
Praising God I am not ashamed
Squirt pop get out like a fat pimple
Admit to the darkness you feel
Let out all the hidden secrets
Let it all out God is listening
Repent ask for forgiveness
Become reborn again
Deliverance will make a big difference
Speak out now don’t be silent
Praising God to his highest name
Praising God I am not ashamed
Hallelujah praise God
Hallelujah anointed
Hallelujah is what I feel inside
Lets praise him up now
In the name of God
Praising God to his highest name
Praising God I am not ashamed

'Because of Christ' The Belonging Co Featuring Henry Seeley

Listen to this amazing worship song called 'Because of Christ' from The Belonging Co and featuring Henry Seeley.

“On a hill in Israel, mercy spoke for me, mercy spoke for me, mercy spoke for me
It was on Golgotha's tree, His death brought liberty, His death brought liberty
His death brought liberty, may I never boast in anything except the cross of Jesus Christ
May I not forget the blood He shed, it is by His death I am alive, because of Christ, I am alive”

What a powerful song and message. The song ‘Because of Christ' was written by Mitch Wong, Andrew Holt, and Chris Clayton and is the newest release from The Belonging Co.

According to their caption on YouTube, ‘Because of Christ’ is “an invitation for listeners to reflect on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. This worship moment, captured live at The Belonging Co, is a triumphant declaration of the sacrifice of Christ and releases an anthemic praise for the completed work of the cross.”

The Belonging Co is a church movement in Nashville, Tennessee, and it began back in 2014. Since it began, the church has become known as a place to find freedom, breakthrough, and healing through God’s Word, His presence, and worship.

On their YouTube page, they share about their heart and mission. “The heart of The Belonging Co is that every song released would empower both individuals and the collective body of Christ to encounter God through worship and experience the freedom that comes through knowing Jesus. We desire encounter over entertainment, intimacy over industry, presence over presentation, people over position, and most of all Jesus over everything.”

Their song ‘Because of Christ’ is a beautiful anthem that reminds us of the power and the love of Jesus. We can live fully alive because of what he did for us on the cross.
