On the Other Side of the Storm

A light country-ish song reminds the listener that God's presence is just out of sight - right there on the other side of the storm which is tossing you around this very moment. Although this song is new since I composed its lyrics and produced the finished piece, it has the "feel" and familiarity of an old hymn you could have been listening to for a lifetime.

Soft on My Soul; Light on My Heart

A beautiful and gentle song of praise based on the scripture presented in Matthew 11:29-30 where our Lord is quoted as saying, "Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."

A Simple Prayer

This musical prayer of praise, honor and worship of the one true God and creator of the universe and His only begotten Son, our Savior and King, Christ Jesus. While this song is about the words or message, it is worth noting just how beautifully orchestrated, how elegantly performed , and how musically satisfying the song actually is. Every word comprising this song's lyrical structure are comprise the prayer that I personally composed and subsequently produced with production assistance from the technological "tool" commonly referred to as AI under the direction of my prompting and direction. I pray it will lift your heart as much as it does my own whenever I listen to its inspiring presentation.

Holy Spirit of God by SJ Hopestrings

A song of reliance on the Holy Spirit. Inspirational. Romans 8:26-27 – "And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don't know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words. And the Father who knows all hearts knows what the Spirit is saying, for the Spirit pleads for us believers in harmony with God's own will." #holyspirit #trust #soul #life #prayer

He Did Not Open His Mouth (Isaiah 53 Scripture Song)

NOTE: Caution: viewer discretion advised for sensitive content. I wrote and recorded this music, but this is an AI-generated music video depicting Isaiah 53's prophecy of the suffering Messiah, including the Garden of Gethsemane arrest and crucifixion imagery. To whom has the arm of the Lord been shown? He grew like a tender shoot, like a root out of dry ground He had no form or majesty To make us take special note of him, Nothing in his appearance That we should desire him He was despised and rejected, A man of sorrows, acquainted with grief People hid their faces; and we don't esteem him. Surely he has borne our grief And surely he's carried our suffering Yet we saw his suffering and thought God had stricken him But he was pierced for wrong we did And he was bruised because of our sin He endured punishment and Because of his wounds, we're healed. We all, like sheep, we have wandered, Each of us turned off, to his own way, The Lord laid on him the iniquity of us all He was oppressed He was afflicted Yet he did not open his mouth Brought as a lamb Led to the slaughter Or as a sheep for her shearers is dumb He did not open his mouth Oppression and judgment was led away And none of his generation complained Cut off from the land of living; for us, he took our sin He was assigned a sinner's grave Yet, with the rich was his body laid He had done nothing wrong, and There was no deceit in him It was the Lord’s will to crush him And cause him suffering, an offerring for sin And the will of the Lord will prosper in his hand He was oppressed He was afflicted Yet he did not open his mouth Brought as a lamb Led to the slaughter Or as a sheep for her shearers is dumb He did not open his mouth He shall see the anguish of his soul and be satisfied By his knowledge my righteous servant shall justify The many, bearing their iniquities Therefore, I'll divide him a portion with the great And he shall divide the spoil with the strong Because he poured out his soul to death And was numbered with the sinners Thus he bore the sin of many And made intercession for transgressors He was oppressed He was afflicted Yet he did not open his mouth Brought as a lamb Led to the slaughter Or as a sheep for her shearers is dumb He did not open his mouth He did not open his mouth

My Best Friend - By Mark R. Spencer

I saw a video, not long ago, of a dog being pulled from a river. Someone had placed the dog in a 16 gallon sized trash bag, up to it's neck. They duck taped the bag closed around the dog's neck, leaving the poor pup's head exposed. They taped the dog's mouth shut, then threw it in that river. While there was sill air in the bag (The abuser had poked holes in the bag, so the air would escape), the dog managed to wiggle it’s hind end, and move itself to the river’s edge. The bag sank, but the dog was able to reach the bottom with it’s hind legs, and keep it’s head slightly above water, until a good Samaritan spotted the little thing. After rescuing the pup, the good Samaritan adopted the dog, who quickly became his best friend. I hope you like the song.

If Ever I Loved Thee

“If Ever I Loved Thee” is a quiet, deeply personal response to the overwhelming mercy of Christ.

Set against the backdrop of His suffering, death, burial, and resurrection, the song reflects on a simple but piercing truth: Jesus endured what looked like madness to the world—though He was completely innocent—so that we might receive the mercy we could never earn.

He stood silent before His accusers.

He suffered without guilt.

He chose the cross… for us.

And in that moment, what appeared to be defeat became the greatest act of love in human history.

“If Ever I Loved Thee” is not a declaration of perfect devotion, but a humble offering—an acknowledgment that any love we have for Him exists only because He first loved us.

It is a song of surrender.

A song of gratitude.

A song for anyone who has come to realize the depth of His mercy.

🎧 Listen, reflect, and be reminded:

What looked like madness… was mercy all along.

Book of Psalms Back to Songs: Psalm 30 - Back to Life

Psalm 30 radiates a sense of overflowing relief and exuberant gratitude, as the "weeping of the night" is suddenly replaced by the morning's joy. The "Book of Psalms: Back to Songs" project is a creative endeavor to restore the original spirit of the #psalms - as songs of worship, lament, praise, and reflection-by transforming them back into musical form, as many were written. Drawing from modern translations of the classic biblical texts, this project reimagines the Psalms with fresh musical arrangements that blend timeless messages with modern sounds. Each Psalm is thoughtfully adapted into lyrical and melodic compositions, many using modern tools, to explore harmonies, instrumentation, and genre-blending arrangements. From soulful acoustic ballads and rock/pop hymns to country pieces and R&B-inspired tunes, the project seeks to make the Psalms accessible and resonate with today’s listeners, while staying true to their emotional and spiritual depth. We Shout We Sing (Christian Worship Song/Lyric Video) | Krystal Craven

Written with corporate worship in mind, We Shout We Sing is a declaration of who God is and a call for the Church to lift unified praise to Jesus — to listen for His truth, surrender fully, and glorify the Name by which we are saved. “Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.” (Psalm 95:1–2 NIV)

1+1 Will Always = 2

The beauty of simplicity. There is a God. There is gravity. There are the Laws of Physics. And one plus one will always equal two.
