For the music video, We The Kingdom gathered at one of their band member’s houses and filmed them singing the song live in different areas of the home. The whole thing is fun to watch, and it is powerful to see all of them worshiping together in that space.

According to their YouTube page, We The Kingdom “is a multigenerational family of musicians, producers, and songwriters consisting of Ed Cash, Scott Cash, Franni Rae Cash Cain, Martin Cash, and Andrew Bergthold. The band organically formed at a Young Life camp in Georgia where each of the five members—weary and heartbroken due to a number of difficult circumstances—came to lead worship. Late one night, as they spontaneously gathered to write a song for the campers, their collaboration caught fire, bringing with it personal healing and a fresh dream for the future.”

What a wonderful performance of this lovely hymn. The man singing in the video is Michael Eldridge, and he is a pharmacist by trade with a passion for singing. He is very talented and is able to sing all the different parts of the song effortlessly! He sings the bass, lead, tenor, and alto parts in this song, and he does them all so beautifully. And when he blends all the different parts together, the song sounds so full and complete.
‘Rescue The Perishing’ was written in 1869 by Fanny J. Crosby after she met the men who were housed in a New York City mission. One young man came up to Fanny and told her that he wanted to be able to get to heaven to see his mother, but thought that his way of living would not make that possible. After speaking and praying with Fanny, he accepted Jesus into his life. This meeting inspired her to write the words to ‘Rescue The Perishing.’
The composer of the hymn ‘Rescue the Perishing’ was William Howard Doane, and he collaborated with Fanny Crosby on approximately 1,000 of her hymn texts.

“Trusting Jesus is the greatest source of knowing Him as the healer,” she continued. “My prayer is as people listen to this, if you’ve lost someone or you are sick and you’ve not received healing, that not only would you experience healing as you listen to this, but you would find the hope of glory that is Jesus the healer.”
Lindy is originally from Edmond, Oklahoma and is a missionary, singer, songwriter, and worship leader with YWAM (Youth with a Mission). In 2012, she was launched with a YWAM team to Southern California, and through their ministry on college campuses and into the nations, the band Circuit Riders was formed.

And since 2015, Brad + Rebekah have put on a five-day Watoto Worship Camp for the kids each year.
"It's been a huge piece of what we've done," said Brad. "From visiting and supporting them through our fundraising efforts, to actually coming and bringing creative teaching teams with us, I would never change our involvement with them, ever. We love it."

We wanted to write something that spoke of leaving our old selves behind and taking up that cross for Jesus. Our ability to do that is only through seeing the light of Christ and the hope through Him and his mercies which are renewed each morning.”
