These 5 preludes were written when I was in a particularly improvisatory mood and was really into Scriabin. So they have some things in common with each other and with Scriabin's music. This is actually the original version. I thought it would also sound good fast and with a somewhat different interpretation so the fast one is now the official 4th Prelude.

This is a short canon with an augmentation in one part. Though it fits the flute and soprano recorder ranges, it might sound best on alto recorders.
