Christian Family Sings Bluegrass Rendition Of 'I'll Fly Away'

The Verlander Family puts their bluegrass skills on display with this incredible performance of ‘I’ll Fly Away.’

‘I’ll Fly Away’ was written in 1929 by Albert E. Brumley. It was published in 1932 and became a hymn frequently performed in church services all over the world. In fact, the song has even been called one of the most recorded gospel songs of all time with notable covers from Alison Krauss and Alan Jackson.

Albert was picking cotton on his family farm when the words to the classic hymn came into his mind. From that moment, it took Albert three more years to actually complete the iconic song.

“Some bright morning when this life is over I'll fly away
To that home on God's celestial shore
I'll fly away I'll fly away, oh glory I'll fly away in the morning
When I die, Hallelujah by and by I'll fly away”

Today, The Verlander Family is putting their own spin on their beloved song as they sit on the front porch. This father and his 2 daughters are truly giving all the glory to God with this beautiful rendition of ‘I’ll Fly Away.’

On YouTube, the family wrote, “It's a blessed day when Dad gets to strum his guitar on the front porch and sing an old gospel song with his beautiful daughters.”

What a blessing to watch this family come together and sing of His many blessings!

Judges 5:3 “Hear, O you kings; give ear, O you princes; I, even I, will sing to the LORD; I will sing praise to the LORD God of Israel.”

These lyrics are the perfect reminder that even in our darkest moments, we have the strength of a thousand armies by our side.

“When you say God help me you're wondering if he's even listening
Truth is, I've wondered the very same thing so, you don't have to feel ashamed
Let me walk with you through this valley
And tell you all that I've learned to be true”

Steven Curtis Chapman is a Dove and Grammy award-winning musician. For decades, he’s been paving the way in Christian music and still remains a staple in the genre today. Over the years, Steven has blessed us with songs such as ‘Cinderella’ and ‘The Glorious Unfolding.’

Today, he’s at the Grand Ole Opry for a stunning performance of his single, ‘Don’t Lose Heart.’

“Don't lose heart, don't you dare let go
I've been where you are, you are not alone
I know it gets dark, I know it gets hard
But we're gonna make it home, so don't lose heart”

In a recent interview, Steven shared the inspiration behind the powerful words. “I’ve heard countless stories of others who’ve walked through their own deep dark valleys, and I feel like there are some things I can say from the perspective I have now.”

What a blessing to know that we are all in this together, with God at the center of it all.

Luke 17:6 “And the Lord said, If you had faith as a grain of mustard seed, you might say to this sycamine tree, Be you plucked up by the root, and be you planted in the sea; and it should obey you.”

'Known, Seen, Loved' Live Performance From MORIAH

Check out this great music video for the song ‘Known, Seen, Loved’ from MŌRIAH.

“I’ve been working so hard to find a moment’s peace, breaking walls to earn it
Getting no relief, I thought I wanted answers, I thought wanted healing
But what I need most is to be known, seen, loved, I thought I wanted justice
I thought wanted power, but what I need most is to be known, seen, loved
Known, seen, loved, known, seen, loved”

What a beautiful song with a powerful message! MŌRIAH is a talented singer and is married to Joel Smallbone from the popular band, for King & Country. Recently MŌRIAH wrote and produced a new record with this song ‘Known, Seen, Loved’ on it.

The singer shared a bit about the personal story behind the song.

“I wrote the pre-chorus first, because it was the part I was most afraid for people to hear (but they’re words I needed to speak over myself). My fear is that people would misinterpret their meaning: ‘I thought I wanted justice/I thought I wanted power/But what I needed most was/To be known, seen, loved.’ I don’t want people to think wanting justice and power are bad things,” she said . “They play an important role in how we find balance in the world we live in. I had exhausted myself working to attain justice and power. And I realized I didn’t have peace because I was working toward the wrong things.”

She continued: “If you don’t know that you’re known, seen, and loved by God, you won’t have peace. I’ve been changing my aim and trajectory away from what I thought I wanted to now, having contentment and peace.”

We hope that you enjoyed listening to ‘Known, Seen, Loved’ today and the words from the song were able to bring you some encouragement.

'His Eye Is On The Sparrow' Performance Leaves The Judges In Awe

This is an incredible testimony to the world of God’s love. This “His Eye is On the Sparrow” performance leaves the judges in awe.

This beautiful woman is dressed in a blue dress, confident on the stage. She has such a wonderful presence and vibrato. As she hits the notes with strength, the judges seem to be pondering the voice. The audience cheers at the sound of her power. Susan Agbor

sings with elegance and originality. She does not just sing; she preaches with her stage presence.

The judges love it and laugh at her moments of lightheartedness. They all stand after her performance. The judges are so in awe of her singing such a meaningful and wonderful classic.

Susan is a fantastic gospel singer. One judge lifts his hand and says, “Praise the Lord, hallelujah.” The judges give her very complimentary reviews, and she appears honored.

I love how Susan sings her heart out to this timeless song. She begins with such innocence and sweetness, and then as the piece develops, she literally soars with her voice to new levels.

In our own lives, we might start off feeling more tender and humbled by trials and circumstances, but “His Eye is On the Sparrow” reminds us of the power of Christ that pulls us to victory. We can sing because He sees us. He watches the sparrows, and how much more does He cares for us? We are His own children.

“Are not two sparrows sold for a cent? And yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So do not fear; you are more valuable than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31

Steven McMorran 'Never Enough' Blind Audition Leaves Young Son In Tears

Grab a tissue, this performance just might make your eyes water. Steven McMorran ‘Never Enough’ blind audition leaves young son in tears.

Steven McMarren has been a professional songwriter for 17 years, and he decided it was time to pursue his dream of performing. He had a huge impact on his son. Steven taught his son what it looks like to face potential rejection and reach for the stars.

Behind the stage to witness his audition was Steven’s family, his two sons, and wife. Can you imagine the impact this moment will have on his family? Especially his sons as they grow up?

Fathers do best when they lead in a way that sets the foundation for their children to pursue their calling. Throughout the Bible, the role of fathers is vital. There are instructions about how to raise and support our children. Each of us has a God-given talent, but some of us are too afraid to open the door and instead sit on the sidelines. Steven, however, did the opposite!

Steven’s performance of the magical show tune was absolutely impeccable. His voice range was impressive, bold, and passionate. He even had an Andrea Bocelli vibe at some points throughout the performance.

As he hit every note, tears could be seen rolling down his oldest son’s face. They were tears of joy and being so proud of his father! Impressed with his unique music choice and sound, Judge Camila Cebello turned her chair and invited him onto her team.

Steven doesn’t know what genre of music he wants to perform, but he does know he wants to sing something that makes people feel something, just like he did for his son. What a moment this family will remember in the years to come!

1 Thessalonians 2:11-12 “For you know that we dealt with each of you as a father deals with his own children, encouraging, comforting and urging you to live lives worthy of God, who calls you into his kingdom and glory.”
