Listen to this wonderful performance by Andrea Bocelli and his children, Matteo and Virginia, as they sing their song ‘The Greatest Gift’ on Jimmy Fallon.
“Come and lay your head upon my shoulder, look outside the stars are shining bright
Even though it's turned a little colder, we can light a fire, stay inside
Hear the angels sing, hear the angels sing, Hallelujah from above
Singing peace on earth, there'll be peace on earth
If we open up our hearts and give a little love”
What a lovely performance, and it is heartwarming to see Andrea performing with his kids. All three of them are so talented!
The Christmas album that the Bocelli trio recorded together is called A Family Christmas, and it includes this song ‘The Greatest Gift.’
Many people shared online about how much they enjoyed this performance of their original song.
“Three singing angels! What a beautiful musical family! Love them all!” comments one person after watching the video. “Andrea Bocelli has left us the best legacy - his singing children who carry a piece of him in their soul and voices.”
“Love is truly the greatest gift,” another person writes online. “And like the song says, ‘Together take a moment and be grateful for the joy, for the tears.’ This song is truly beautiful and their voices blend so well together!”
The Bocelli family's Christmas album also includes a collection of traditional carols arranged for the three voices. And each member of the Bocelli family gets a chance to shine on A Family Christmas with solo tracks, duets, and trios.
“We are offering our small, intimate, and heartfelt gift to anyone who wishes to enjoy the soundtrack of Christmas in the Bocelli home,” the family trio say of the album.
And Andrea Bocelli shares about how special it was working on this project with his children. “I think there is nothing more beautiful than making music with your kids,” he said.
“I consider it a privilege,” Matteo added. “Singing these songs together, feeling the holiday warmth with my family is something really special. That’s what Christmas is about – making memories together to cherish forever. It’s really exciting to think that people will have a copy of our album sitting wrapped under the tree.”
We hope that you enjoyed listening to this special Christmas performance from the Bocelli family today!
Message about the importance of salvation. If you have unsaved family that you would like to hear this song but they won't watch God tube it can be seen as well by going to You tube search and typing in gene and louie undecided
Check out ‘The Toys’ Waltz’ Christmas song by Celtic Woman. The combination of their voices and the music is absolutely magical and delightful. Celtic Woman combines traditional Irish music that brings in theater and classical musical elements.
Their performances include Irish history too. Add in Christmas, and it’s enchanting. The music video captures the wonder of Christmas too! I don’t know who’s having more fun, the kids or the ladies that make up Celtic Woman.
Celtic Woman is an all-female Irish ensemble that has been around since 2005. The group was created by Sharon Browne, David Kavanagh, and David Downes. The original Celtic Woman was comprised of four vocalists Méav Ní Mhaolchatha, Órla Fallon, Chloë Agnew, Lisa Kelly, and Máiréad Nesbitt. The current performers are Tara McNeill, Hannah Traynor, and Muirgen O’Mahony.
What makes the group unique is its ever-changing performers since its inception, but the signature sound of Celtic Woman has remained the same. They sing classical favorites, and contemporary songs, and include their own original songs while keeping Ireland at its core. The group has sold over ten million records and has been named Billboard’s # 1 World Music Artist of the Year six times!
Their angelic voices and instrumental talents are memorizing to watch. The Toy’s Waltz’ is especially enchanting to watch as the music video is set in a large mansion filled with Christmas magic as Children decorate the tree and play with toys.
The Celtic ladies are dressed in elegant red dresses that add even more charm to the moment. The scenery changes as the group venture into the woods to find an illuminated carousel! I don’t know who is having more fun, the ladies of Celtic Woman or the kids, as they merrily ride around on the carousel. We hope you enjoy this enchanting music and magical video that is perfect for Christmas time.
Giving the glory to God, Justin Aaron sings “You Made A Way” during his final stirring performance on The Voice. At 6’4, Justin is a big man with a humble heart!
After singing his final Top 8 performance on December 5, Justin landed in the bottom four of the group. He then sang in the Instant Save competition, which allows America to cast their votes for one of the four to progress to the Final 5. Justin’s cover of Travis Greene’s 2015 “You Made A Way” did not garner the votes he needed, but it sure does leave listeners with goosebumps!
The first verse of the song goes as follows:
Standing here not knowing how we'll get through this test
But holding onto faith you know best
Nothing can catch you by surprise
You've got this figured out and you're watching us now
Entertainers know how to add emotion to their work, whether in acting or singing or dancing, but Justin is not merely interpreting the song for the judges and viewers at home. He’s owning the words! He sings with passion, because he feels the words!
Justin lives in Junction City, Kansas, and he works in the behavioral department in a high school there. He has faced hard times, including losing four people in his life to COVID-19; one of those was his father. He has also battled depression. However, he finds strength in his faith, introduced to him by his mother and instilled during his upbringing in a Christian home. Justin currently serves as the praise and worship leader at the church he attends.
Though we don’t get to see the judges’ reactions in this video, Parade shared Coach Gwen Stefani’s comments about Justin’s performance and his time on the show: “That was amazing. That was so powerful. I could see you were deeply in that song. I am so emotional now. I have been up all night praying for you. I think America watching you be so vulnerable, to watch you grow before our eyes, that’s been the greatest gift for everybody.”
For Justin’s part, he is extremely grateful for Gwen’s support of him. She was the only judge to initially turn her chair around to select Justin. According to NBC Insider, he shared with her before the final results were announced, "I would like to just say thank you. Thank you for believing in me, thank you for taking a chance on me, thank you for your ‘Yes.' It has been amazing to work with such an icon that you are."
Best wishes to Justin as he continues his musical journey! We think he’s headed for great things, whether in a classroom in Junction City, on a stage in Music City, or somewhere no one down here imagines just yet!
“Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” Psalms 37:4
You’ll want to add “Kids on Christmas” by Pentatonix, with some help from Meghan Trainer, to your Christmas playlist! This is from the new album Holidays Around the World by Pentatonix. Their new record features collaborations with artists from around the globe; this is the 7th Christmas album for the group! They know how to do the holidays!
The song is new, but the video seems like a blast from the past. With vintage cameras and sound equipment and stylized film quality, we step into the filming of a variety show. A host with a hefty head of dark hair and dark shades introduces the “festive little number” using his pencil-thin microphone. It looks like the 1970’s!
The girl behind the camera wears a jumpsuit with a neck scarf, and the guy manning the yellowed controls has a long mustache and a denim shirt that’s open more than most these days.
Meghan Trainer and Pentatonix are dressed in an eclectic assortment of get-ups, but they include wide collars, a lime-green, polyester maxi dress, feathered hair, and one pretty long afro. All this is set against a backdrop of gold streamers!
The camera woman and the control guy look bored as the song starts slowly with Ms. Trainer singing the opening lines. They’re just putting in their time. But the tune takes off at 1:00!
A lively, lyrical listing, the song includes several wishes that amount to making old folks feel young again at Christmas! The six singers are in full dance mode, and by 1:13, the number has the techies gently moving their heads—warming up to the song!
When the words refer to turning 87 and going on 11, Jumpsuit Girl has her hands in the air, and Mustache Man is smiling ear-to-ear! Stockings full of candy canes, hooves on rooftops, dancing sugar plums, flying reindeer, halls decked, snowflakes falling, and Santa letters read in full! These are the images that soon have the crew away from their posts and pulling out all of their dance moves!
By the time the anthem to holiday good humor ends, everyone is back in place. But, they aren’t bored. They are rejuvenated!
The holidays do lighten the spirits of most, and for those resistant among us, maybe they need to check out “Kid on Christmas.” It’s a fun one, likely to get those born in the 70s or approaching 70 to think just a little bit younger!
“A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.” Proverbs 15:13
This father-daughter duet of “What Christmas Means to Me” by Mat and Savanna Shaw may have you dancing while you’re baking cookies, wrapping gifts, or doing whatever it is that feels like Christmas to you!
The father and daughter that began uploading videos during the COVID-19 pandemic is going strong long after the shutdowns have been lifted and the terror of that period has subsided. And that’s a great thing because these two are wonderfully talented and a joy to listen to!
With chunky multi-colored lights strung about, Mat and Savanna appear in a large, rustic shed or garage with five incredible musicians to sing this peppy tune about all the things that represent Christmas. The lyrics list about a dozen, but the real message seems to be that Christmas just brings about joy—a childlike excitement and wonder!
See if these images mentioned in the song’s lyrics resonate with you:
Let's deck the halls with holly
Sing sweet Silent Night
Fill the tree with angel hair
And pretty, pretty lights
Mat and Savanna began singing by themselves from their home in Utah. This video has them in another setting with a whole band. It’s fun to watch Savanna in her red herringbone suit bounce around with Dad in his denim.
At 2:05, look out! The trumpet takes the lead with a jammin’ solo, and then the saxophonist does his at 3:08 before the two share the floor to show off their chops together and end the song. Mat comes back in front of the whole group to offer a Merry Christmas wish and his appreciation to their supporters and the musicians behind him. Savanna says that making the video was a “blast,” and it is certainly a blast to watch!
The song describes the Christmas feeling as follows: “Even though I love ya madly, It seems I love you more.” We love Mat and Savanna more all the time. Thank you for making beautiful, positive music!
Here’s to simply loving more this Christmas season!
“Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” Luke 2:11
This might be one of the most beloved and classic Christmas songs that focuses on the angels and their encounter the night Christ was born. It gives us an idea of what a holy sight it was to God’s angels.
The rendition of the ‘It Came Upon a Midnight Clear’ duet by The Hound & The Fox is one song you will treasure. It is peaceful and magical, with a Christmas folk sound. Their performance included a beautiful snowy landscape with this lovely husband and wife duo expecting another child.
The couple, Reilly and McKenzie Zamber, hail from Oregon, and they are passionate about music. They write and create their own, plus cover their favorites.
On their YouTube page, they wrote, “We love to create our own versions of songs that inspire us, and we LOVE to write and share our own originals as well. We are passionate about the visuals and the stories that accompany our music, and we hope that you can see that in our videos.”
The Fox and The Hound put their unique folk sound and creative instrumental abilities into the cover of ‘It Came Upon A Midnight Clear’, and the result is phenomenal. It will be your new favorite rendition of the song that was originally produced by Edmund H. Sears in 1849. Edmund based the hymn on the Bible verse Luke 2:14.
“It came upon a midnight clear, that glorious song of old, from angels bending near the earth, to touch their harps of gold:‘Peace on the earth, goodwill to men, from heaven’s all-gracious King.’The world in solemn stillness lay, to hear the angels sing.”
It is by far one of my favorite songs that gets my heart and spirit into the Christmas mood by reminding me of what unfolded on that holy, precious night. I hope you enjoyed this beautiful performance as much as I did.
“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men,” Luke 2:14.
Put your hands up and get ready to sing along to ‘The Elf Song,’ and a new music video by Crowder! It’s fun. It’s catchy. It’s playful and upbeat.
I imagine you’ll find yourself singing along on your way to work or, perhaps like most in this joyful season, gift shopping. This is just one of several festive originals recorded on Crowder's 14-track holiday album, 'Milk & Cookies: A Merry Crowder Christmas.’
The song honors Santa’s working-class tiny people of the North Pole in a cheeky way to fight for the rights of Santa’s itty bitty, pointy-toed helpers.
With lyrics like, “Every day is a grind. Them elves working six-day weeks, no raise in sight. Santa only pay ‘em cookies when they working that overtime. Gotta make that quota, can’t do it in a 9 to 5.”
You can’t help but grin and start humming right along!
The new hit song was just released by the Christian band Crowder, and it already is catching the internet by storm with over 93,000 views. The new music video already has hundreds of comments by fans.
One viewer couldn’t help but leave a comment that sums up how you’ll feel watching the music video, “The Elf Song is adorable and fun to listen to. I can’t help but smile from ear to ear. Those precious children having a great time “being kids” was awesome! God bless you, Mr. Crowder.”
This song is likely going to take the world by storm because it is upbeat and catchy, another viewer commented, “Just listened to this song for the first time, and I LOVE it! What a fun and playful song. One I will listen to over and over for many seasons to come. Thank you, Crowder, for all your music.”
We couldn’t agree more. It is definitely a song that will be played nearly every Christmas season.
We hope you love this song and add it to your playlist for this blessed, magical Christmas season!
Most are quite familiar with the old Christmas carol “God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen,” but few have heard it done as it is here by Southern Raised. Take a listen!
There’s a fire, and moments later, the first note lands almost as warm as the flame that burns in front of this talented group—like a rich, creamy, steaming cup of cocoa! Meet Matthew Reith. Born in 1997, he’s the younger brother of the two beauties that sing backup.
They are Emily, who wears an “E” necklace, and Lindsay, and they do a lot more than provide the “ooo’s”!
At 55 seconds, another log is thrown on the blaze, and the instruments are added. From left to right, a bass, an acoustic guitar, a fiddle, and a banjo are fired up. By the way, that’s Alex playing the banjo. He happens to be married to Emily. He’s a Missouri man, while the others hail from Rogers, Arkansas. All are from the Ozark Mountains and have been making music since they were kids!
The ladies come together to harmonize for a bit at 1:35, and you might get Soggy Bottom Boys vibes. Or maybe not. The ladies are way prettier than George Clooney’s backup singers, and they are Christian artists rather than criminals or conmen.
But they do have a bluegrass feel. In fact, Southern Raised describes itself as a group whose work combines classical and Celtic music, Christian country, and bluegrass.
Emily and then Alex impress with solos at 2:00. Then, Emily sings a long, high note that floats Heavenward like the smoke from the fire, and it appears the song might end.
But, then, the four return with a variety of beats as Matthew sings another verse. The screen goes black, and they are back with another variation!
They stop at 5:00. The screen goes dark again, and Southern Raised appears one last time to wish viewers “Merry Christmas.” This is one talented and faithful family!
They bring something special to an old song, blessing it with their gifts and talents. However, the message is the most important, and the message has always been the same. In a nutshell… Rest and be reassured. Our Savior has come!
“Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.” Luke 2:11
A clip from Kumpenstein's Compact Christmas Concert (part of my one-man-band act). Tells the story of a king and his servant who set out the day after Christmas to bring food and other comforts to a poor man. The servant learns a lesson about walking in the footsteps of the king.
