Let the Lord fill your soul as Matthew West shares the official music video for ‘My Story Your Glory.’
“My story, your glory, my pain, your purpose
My mess, your message in all things I know you’re working
One life, one mission, one reason why I’m living
All for you, not for me, my story, your glory”
Contemporary Christian artist Matthew West has been recording worship music for over two decades. He is a Dove award-winning musician who has given us hits such as ‘Forgiveness’ and ‘Grace Wins.’
Today, he’s reminding us of God’s never ending grace with the beautiful words of ‘My Story Your Glory.’
“Now the story of me is a story of grace
Fingerprints of mercy on every page
No more ashamed of the path I took
You set me free to be an open book “
On Instagram, Matthew shared that he’s heard so many stories from friends and fans over the years. He wanted a way to put those stories into video form and that’s where ‘My Story Your Glory’ came in. “I love writing songs about the people I’ve met that have impacted me along the way, and the final result feels like the statement of what so much of my career has been about.”
What an incredible message to share with the world!
Romans 10:9 “That if you shall confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you shall be saved.”
Lift your hands in praise as Hillsong Worship performs a live rendition of their classic song, ‘Eagle’s Wings.’
“Here I am waiting, abide in me I pray
Here I am longing for You
Hide me in Your love, bring me to my knees
May I know Jesus more and more”
Hillsong Worship has been a leader in Christian music since 1983. The group started as the band for their home church, in Sydney, Australia. But as their popularity grew, the group decided to share their talents with the entire world and help spread God’s Word.
Decades later, they are still one of the top names in Christian music with hits like ‘What A Beautiful Name’ and ‘Who You Say I Am.’
Today, they’re leading us in worship with the beloved words of ‘Eagle’s Wings.’
“Come live in me all my life
Take over
Come breathe in me
I will rise on eagle's wings”
This live performance is part of Hillsong’s Team Night, an incredible night of worship that led to an upcoming album.
On Instagram, the group wrote, “With our arms outstretched in humble surrender, we come again and allow Jesus’ blood to wipe away all sins. It’s a daily return to this place of abandonment before Him.”
What a wonderful way to praise His Holy Name!
John 1:14 “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelled among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
Listen to this amazing live performance of the song ‘Never Walk Alone’ from Hillsong Worship.
“Your heart is for me, Your ear is listening, I’m safe in Your love, Your army of angels
Watch over me, You’re always present, You’re always with me, for all of my life
Your favor has followed, You’re my covering, I have never walked alone
I’ve never been abandoned, You are my inheritance, You are my strength and shield
And I have confidence, You go before me, You’re my deliverer, I know I never walk alone”
What an incredible song with such an encouraging message. The words and music of ‘Never Walk Alone’ are by Ben Fielding, Hannah Hobbs, and Jenn Johnson.
On the Hillsong blog, they talk about the message of this song and how powerful it really is.
“Scripture teaches time and time again about the faithfulness of God towards his people. He will never leave or forsake us. Even though at times we may feel alone and abandoned, the truth is, in Christ we are never alone. God is completely faithful towards His people. He is Emmanuel, God with us,” the blog reads.
“‘Never Walk Alone’ is an anthem that reminds our souls of the truth of who God is. I know it will bless all who hear it, and I’m eagerly awaiting to see how God will meet people afresh as a result of this song,” the blog continues. “Our prayer is that you would be encouraged today as you worship with this song. You have confidence walking into the future knowing that the God who goes before you is forever faithful. Because of Him, we will never walk alone.”
This is the message that we need to remind ourselves as we go about our days. We hope that you were blessed by listening to this live performance of ‘Never Walk Alone’ today.
Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the LORD your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Check out the official music video for the song ‘I See The Light’ by Josh Baldwin.
“I'm standin’ at the edge of a grave, here lies the empty life that I chased
Where death has lost its hold on me, your grip of love I could not escape
And I’m walkin’ in the valley of dry bones, where resurrection power starts to grow
The breath of God now in my lungs, I’ll prophesy, His light has come
I see the light, I see the light, Hallelujah, hope is alive, hope is alive”
What a beautiful song! And Josh Baldwin shares a little bit about its message in the caption of his YouTube video.
“What joy can we not feel when reminded of the new life that comes when we put our life in Jesus’ hands! While His sacrifice may seem overwhelming and incomprehensible, He desires for you to know and feel His love,” Josh writes. “‘I See The Light’ takes us to a place of joy and remembrance for all He has done for us.”
Josh also talks a little about how the song ‘I See The Light’ came to be.
“‘I See the Light’ is a song I started writing 5 or 6 years ago with my friend Bobby Strand,” shares Josh Baldwin. “We had this visual of a guy looking into a grave and what he sees is his old self before Christ and the whole song just came from that. We wanted to write something that spoke of leaving our old selves behind and taking up that cross for Jesus. Our ability to do that is only through seeing the light of Christ and the hope through Him and his mercies which are renewed each morning.”
We hope that you enjoyed listening to this song today and it was able to encourage you!
John 8:12
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
There is nothing quite like a family of talent. In this video, a family band performs “Why Me Lord” by Kris Kristofferson.
Settled in a cozy living room with their guitars and piano, one boy begins to sing. His bass voice is very impressive. The girls come in with harmonies with the lead singer, and they all shine.
Their twang and mesh are beautiful. The group each has shining moments. The lead sounds very similar to a modern-day Johnny Cash. They are fantastic story tellers.
The chorus says:
“Lord help me Jesus, I’ve wasted it,
So help me Jesus, I know what I am.
And now that I know that I need you,
So help me Jesus, my soul’s in your hand.”
They are telling a testimony of being in need of the saving grace of Jesus. As they do so, it is beautiful and professional. They all have incredible talents. The best part of this is that the song has an impactful message.
They are ministering through their gifts to tell people that they have learned that Jesus is the Way and that He is the keeper of our souls. No matter what mistakes we have made, His forgiveness is more than enough for us, and His sacrifice is perfect to cover all of our sins, past, present, and future. We can celebrate this today and every day.
Maybe you are struggling with guilt or shame today. We all have regrets. We are all sinful people. However, we do not have to live in bondage to sin anymore. We have freedom because of Christ. May this song be a reminder to you of His great grace and mercy.
“Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
