Lea Salonga sings ‘A Whole New World’ for the bride during the father-daughter dance, and it’s the best imaginable surprise for the bride.
This man definitely gets the father of the year award. On the day of his daughter Kaitlyn’s wedding, he had the most epic gift for his precious daughter in store with the person he invited to perform at the wedding.
There’s something about Disney movies and watching them with Dad. And some dads, like the father of the bride, grew to cherish these moments too.
In a speech, he recalls watching his daughter’s favorite Disney movies with her so often that even to this day, he could recite them word for word. But there was one movie that was his daughter Katilyn’s favorite, Aladdin. I imagine Dad thought it was special, too as he showed his daughter a whole new world as she grew up.
When the day came to walk his baby girl down the aisle, he knew he wanted to do something memorable for the father-daughter dance when Kaitlyn’s favorite move came to mind.
He arranged for Lea Salonga to come and sing “A Whole New World” for the special moment, and Kaitlyn had no idea. The expression on Kaitlyn’s face was one of knowing just how much her father loved her.
Lea then introduced herself, “If you don’t know who I am, my name is Lea Salonga, and I have done the singing voices of two Disney princesses, which is why I’m here,” she said.
Wrapped up in her daddy’s arms and being serenaded by her favorite Disney princess, Kaitlyn couldn’t hold back the tears. It is such an unbelievable moment they will treasure forever. Weddings are absolutely joyous occasions–but perhaps it’s a little hard on the father of the brides–but they will forever be daddy’s little girl.
“Then our sons in their youth will be like well-nurtured plants, and our daughters will be like pillars carved to adorn a palace.” Psalms 144:12
It is amazing how the name of Jesus is being proclaimed on national television. In this video, Jennifer Hudson sings a phenomenal rendition of “His Eye is on the Sparrow.”
Jennifer starts out by sharing how she would like to end the show by singing one of her favorite songs from Sister Act 2. She tells the audience that the song means a lot to her personally.
The audience cheers as she stands there next to a piano in a sparkly black dress with a white top mimicking a nun costume. She sits and begins to sing, “His Eye is on the Sparrow.”
As Jennifer begins to sing at the piano, she has such strength and authenticity. Her voice is powerful and pure. The audience cheers. She knows how to finesse the words and melodically wow the listener.
Jennifer sings the truth of God watching the birds, but how much more He is watching over us. I love how Jennifer is singing live with no autotune. She is singing purely from her heart and with such authenticity. She hits notes that wow the crowd and is filled with such passion.
Watching and listening to Jennifer sing this song leads us straight into worship with the Lord. It is incredibly honest and powerful. It is moving and leads us to praise our Savior and thank Him for watching over us.
It can be easy to forget that God sees us, but this song reminds us that He is always keeping His eye on us, and He loves us very much.
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground apart from your Father. But even the hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not, therefore; you are of more value than many sparrows.” Matthew 10:29-31

One seems to hear, words of good cheer, from everywhere, filling the air”

Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert gather on the stage at the 2022 Country Music Awards for an outstanding performance dedicated to Loretta Lynn.
On October 4, 2022 country music icon Loretta Lynn died at the age of 90. After decades in the spotlight, Loretta truly left a lasting legacy that will continue to live on.
Loretta Lynn has been called the queen of country music. Her iconic songs have truly stood the test of time and they still resonate with fans today.
Over the years, Loretta wrote every single song that she recorded. Writing was actually more important to her than singing and the fans responded in waves.
She has been called a ‘trailblazer’ and a ‘powerful voice for women.’ Her unique style and heartfelt lyrics paved the way for other female voices.
Now, some of the most popular female artists of this generation are coming together to honor this legend.
Carrie Underwood, Reba McEntire and Miranda Lambert step onto the CMA stage for an incredible medley of Loretta’s biggest hits, including ‘You Ain't Woman Enough (to Take My Man),’ ‘Don't Come Home a-Drinkin' (With Lovin' on Your Mind)’ and ‘You're Lookin' at Country.’
Each artist sings solo before they all join together for an incredible rendition of ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter.’
“Well, I was borned a coal miner's daughter
In a cabin, on a hill in Butcher Holler
We were poor but we had love
That's the one thing that daddy made sure of”
I just love when the camera pans and we see country artists from across the country singing along with these unforgettable lyrics.
What a perfect way to honor this extraordinary musical legend.
You have to watch this wonderful duet of Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Jennifer Hudson singing 'Amazing Grace' together!
“Amazing grace how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I'm found, was blind but now I see”
What an incredible performance from these two talented singers! Tasha Cobbs was on Jennifer Hudson’ show, and Jennifer was asking Tasha how she got started singing Gospel music.
“So I came from a family of singers. Everybody on my mom’s side sings. So my aunts, my cousins, we were made to sing – had to! We called ourselves the Jacksons in Georgia.” she said. “The whole family, we would go from different churches, singing, making up songs.”
Then Tasha shared about when she was 15 years old and started leading crowds at church in worship.
“We started this community choir, and we were singing a Kirk Franklin song. The guy that was supposed to lead the song got in a minor car accident. So everyone was looking at me like, ‘Tasha, you gotta sing.’ And I was like, ‘Oh, I don’t sing in front of people.’ So the song was ‘Now Behold The Lamb,’ and I got up and I sang the entire song,” she said. “ I sang the entire song with my eyes closed, and when I opened my eyes, people were crying, they were in worship. And my parents, we were looking at each other like, ‘This is something special.’”
After watching the video, many people online shared their reaction to the two women singing together.
“Ladies, your gift of song was given to glorify The Creator who endowed you both! There was power that came forth as you both sang. Tears are flowing! Give God praise and glory!” comments one person on YouTube.
“Hallelujah! All I can say is, the world needs to see and hear more of this on TV,” writes another person online.
We hope you enjoyed this video of Tasha Cobbs Leonard and Jennifer Hudson singing 'Amazing Grace’!
Contemporary Christian artist Michael W. Smith leads us in joyful worship with the spirit-filled words of ‘Christmas Is Here.’
“Ring, ring all the bells
Christmas is here, the spirit it calls you
Sing, sing from your heart
The savior is born, the stories are all true”
Michael W. Smith has been a staple in the Christian music world for decades. Since the early 80s, Michael has been using his musical talent to lead the world in worship. He’s charted on both Christian and secular music charts with hits such as ‘Place In This World’ and ‘Above All.’
Over the years, Michael has won countless awards, including 3 Grammy’s, and he was a 2009 inductee into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame.
Today, Michael is helping us get in the Christmas spirit with the inspirational words of ‘Christmas Is Here.’
“Ring the bells, the season's upon us
Christ is born, the Light of the world
Come let us tell the season's upon us
Come and rejoice, the Light of the world”
On YouTube, Michael shared that this is his first new Christmas song in over 8 years. “‘Christmas Is Here’ is written by Michael W. and his daughter, Anna. The song is a quintessential Michael W. Smith Christmas song that features memory-inducing lyrics and features a chorus of all of Michael and Debbie Smith’s grandchildren.”
What a beautiful reminder of the real reason for the Christmas season!
Isaiah 9:6 “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given: and the government shall be on his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
In a castle far, far away, nestled in snow-covered woods, is Andrea Bocelli and his two children who sing ‘The Greatest Gift’ Christmas song.
It is absolutely magical and delivers the meaning of the Christmas season. The enchanting scene and glorious voices singing about how angels sing of the one most high will truly bring in the spirit of Christmas.
This spectacular video was filmed in Castel Savoia, Gressoney - Valle D’Aosta – Italy, and gives away to the wonder of Christmas. But what captivates anyone who hears this performance is the trio, Andrea and his children Matteo and Virginia, who sing a three-part harmony that swells with the accompaniment of a choir and string orchestra.
It gives way to a magical scene of ballet dancers dressed in angel-lit wings with snow falling softly all around.
What I love most is how they sing about the gift of peace and love in this season as we gather our own friends and family. They sing of gratitude to our heavenly Father for the gift and sacrifice of His son.
Indeed, “Hallelujah from above.” May this Christmas season usher in the wonderful and utterly mysterious gift of Christ’s birth. May this performance lay to rest the struggles you wrestle with. There is nothing like setting aside the activities of daily life in order to pick up our Bibles and remember why we were given God’s breath of life in order to glorify his name.
Christmas isn’t about gifts or a paid holiday off. It’s about the day our savior was born thousands of years ago, who would take our sins and give us the ultimate gift. In that–we are all stripped of differences and gathered together as brothers and sisters in Christ Jesus.
“And suddenly there appeared with the angel a great multitude of the heavenly host, praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests!’” Luke 2:13-14

Watch this live performance from The Gaither Vocal Band of the song ‘Tennessee Christmas’ to get you in the holiday spirit!
“Come on weatherman, give us a forecast snowy white, can't you hear the prayers
Of every childlike heart tonight? Rockies are calling, Denver snow falling
Somebody said it's four feet deep, but it doesn't matter, give me the laughter
I'm gonna choose to keep another tender Tennessee Christmas, the only Christmas for me
Where the love circles around us like the gifts around our tree
Well, I know there's more snow up in Colorado than my roof will ever see
But a tender Tennessee Christmas is the only Christmas for me”
What a lovely song, and The Gaither Vocal Band does a wonderful rendition of it!
“Beautiful and brilliant. Indeed a special trio and accompaniment reminding us to be still and soak in the beauty and majesty of the Christmas Story,” comments one person on YouTube after watching the music video.
“One of my all time favorites,” writes another person online. “All those childhood memories come gushing through. Thank you, Gaither Vocal Band!”
This holiday song was originally written by Amy Grant, and she shared about the car ride that inspired the lyrics to ‘Tennessee Christmas.’
“I wrote ‘Tennessee Christmas’ with Gary Chapman,” Amy said. “We were newlyweds. It was a long time ago. We wrote that the summer of 1983. We were driving south on Hillsboro Road out of Nashville toward Franklin. And I knew I was about to make a Christmas record. It was a full moon, and the way the moon was shining on the hills, it looked like snow.”
She continued: “We just started singing, without an instrument, the ideas for ‘Tennessee Christmas.’ We actually wrote the entire song in the car, on that drive.”
We hope you enjoyed listening to this special holiday tune today!
