I wrote “Hold Me Father” during the dark season of my life when I was undergoing treatment for throat cancer. My chance of coming out of surgery with any voice was slim to none. But Heavenly Father told me He saved my voice and I am to use it for His glory.
It has been 20 years since I wrote the words to this song. What a beautiful reminder of His amazing love to see this music video come to completion. I pray the song and the video blessedly move you to know whatever struggle you may go through; I encourage you to invite Heavenly Father to hold you through it. Ask Him to help you cross that mountain, and when your victory comes, sing out praises endlessly to Him for His Glory.
As always, I give all glory, honor and praise to my Heavenly Father, my Savior Yeshua Hamashiach and His Holy Spirit!

¿Cómo Puedo Mostrar Mi Gratitud? Por Todo Lo Que He Pasado Junto A Ti Para Liberarme Diste Tu Vida Todo Por Mí, Un Sacrificio Vivo
¿Cómo Puedo Comenzar? Para Comprar Mi Salida De Mis Pecados Me Llamaste Por Nombre Mientras Estabas En La Cruz Usted Derramaste Tu Sangre Por Mí Y Pagaste El Costo
Él Te Ha Mostrado, Oh Hombre Lo Que Es Bueno Y Lo Que El Señor Requiere De Ti Sino Hacer Justicia Y Amar La Misericordia Y Caminar De La Mano Con Tu Dios
Él Te Ha Mostrado, Oh Hombre Lo Que Es Bueno Y Lo Que El Señor Requiere De Ti Sino Hacer Justicia Y Amar La Misericordia Y Caminar De La Mano Con Tu Dios Y Caminar De La Mano Con Tu Dios
De Ninguna Otra Manera Podría Ser Salvado Había Que Pagar Un Santo Rescate Busque La Verdad Y De Alguna Manera Te Encontré Ahora Sé Para Qué Fui Creado
Él Te Ha Mostrado, Amigo Mío Lo Que Es Bueno Y Lo Que El Señor Requiere De Ti Sino Hacer La Justicia Y Amar La Misericordia Y Caminar De La Mano Con Tu Dios
Él Te Ha Mostrado, Amigo Mío Lo Que Es Bueno Y Lo Que El Señor Requiere De Ti Sino Hacer Justicia Y Amar La Misericordia Y Caminar De La Mano Con Tu Dios Y Caminar De La Mano Con Tu Dios
Esperaba Al Señor Que Está En Las Alturas Desde Su Santísimo Monte Oyó Mi Clamor Del Cielo A La Tierra Desde La Tumba Hasta El Cielo Mi Tesoro En El Cielo Eres Tú
Él Te Ha Mostrado, Oh Hombre Lo Que Es Bueno Y Lo Que El Señor Requiere De Ti Sino Hacer Justicia Y Amar La Mise
Listen to this new song called ‘Fire’s Burnin’’ by TobyMac and featuring Cory Asbury.
Strike it up, set a blaze, everything I’ve been chasin’, all the games I’ve been playin’
We can watch ‘em all, go up in flames, let ‘em say that I’m crazy,
But I’m leaving those days behind, I got my eyes wide open and they’re only on You
This ain’t no side thing, my ride or die thing, I put it all on the table,
You’re the one that I choose, You got my whole heart, this fires burnin’ for You”
What an amazing song! So fun and upbeat with a beautiful message.
“Thank you again and again TobyMac for awesome music that helps us to praise and worship our Heavenly Father,” comments one person on YouTube after listening to the song.
“A true gift from God. This is who you are Toby Mac. God bless you!” writes another person online.
TobyMac shared a little about how the song ‘Fire’s Burnin’’ came to be and how Cory Asbury joined the track.
“As I started singing it, it got this really smooth vocal. And somehow or another, it still sounds like me. Like a cadence-driven verse melody,” said TobyMac. “And then we were like, ‘Who would be the right guest on this?’ And there’s one guy in this industry that kind of comes from worship, but he has also never been fearful of a pop melody or a pop track, and that’s Cory Asbury, who I think is absolutely amazing. I love his humor. I love the fact that he enjoys life and loves his family. Smiles a lot, laughs a lot. He came into the studio and was like a breath of fresh air.”
TobyMac continued: “This song really is about, the heart is, ‘This fire’s burning for you. I will never stop, God. I will not stop. You are what I live for.”
What a great song, and we hope that you enjoyed listening to it today!
